Eco Glamping in South Devon

Welcome to our award winning eco-glamping site in South Devon, where we offer unique fully off-grid hospitality in a stunning natural setting. Inspired by our deep love for the natural world we’ve honed our skills and knowledge over more than ten years to create a truly unforgettable experience for all our guests. Here, you will experience an immersive eco holiday without sacrificing any luxuries. We invite you to be part of our story and reconnect with the wonder of the wild.

Our Vision

We offer ‘time out’ and ‘time off-(grid!)’ in unique, purpose built, ethical eco tiny homes to promote an inner and outer rebalancing. It’s a chance to reconnect with nature and rejoice in simple pleasures while exploring the possibility of a lifestyle rich in beauty and comfort yet remaining in harmony with our environment. It’s the perfect opportunity to recharge and retreat in beautiful surroundings, away from the demands of a busy life and multiple screens!

We hope to inspire others to explore their own relationship with nature and to challenge the common narrative that comfort and pleasure must be sacrificed in order to live an ethical, ecological lifestyle.

Our pricing system is staggered in order to make this experience as accessible as possible, with specific discounts available to those from disadvantaged backgrounds. If this still feels a stretch, please do approach us directly to discuss options.

Our Accommodations

Our three tiny homes each have their own particular charm. The original hand-built Shepherd’s Hut comes with its own separate tree house and star gazing platform! Our Vintage American Airstream was gutted and redesigned to maximise light and space, with plants climbing the walls to bring nature inside. Our second Shepherd’s Hut, Dingle Glenn, pays homage to the fairy tale ideal of a forest hideaway, with the curves in the wood used in its building maintained so you can almost feel it breathe! Each tiny home has its own Scandinavian-style wood-fired hot tub, inviting guests to relax, play, engage with nature, star gaze, bird watch or simply sunbathe in the nude with total privacy.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

We are fully committed to mindful, sustainable tourism and to doing all that we can to protect our environment. We take great care to source everything, from mattresses and copper kettles to logs and linen, from ethical producers who share our values. We are proud of our relationships with local charities and also support larger ones, such as Greenpeace.

Ashburton and Beyond

There is a bus to Ashburton from Totnes or Newton Abbot, and Ashburton is only 2 miles from our glamping site. With plenty of cheap taxis available, this is the ideal base for exploring South Devon.

Ashburton is a charming town filled with fine food shops, restaurants, cafes, and other boutique style shops. It’s also home to the Ashburton Cookery School, rated among the top 5 in the UK. Further afield, Totnes (the original Transition Town) is just 10 miles away. It has a train station, a castle, and a popular weekly market with a bohemian vibe. It also features many alternative shops, a wide range of excellent cafes and an impressive array of health care practices.

For those who love the outdoors, Dartmoor is just north of Ashburton. With its neolithic stone circles, wild ponies, lakes, rivers, cycle and hiking trails, it provides endless opportunity for exploration, as well as several character pubs such as the dog friendly Rugglestone Inn.
